A Plea Indeed

This post is written in an effort to remind our U.S. Senators who they actually work for and represent. The people, the people, the people!

Dear Senator Cruz and Senator Cornyn,

As our Texas representatives in the United States Senate, I would like to address concerns I have regarding the future of our United States and our beautiful state of Texas.

As a lifelong native Texan, I love my state, I love my United States of America, and I love the freedoms, the values, and core foundations set out by our forefathers in the United States Constitution.

In my lifetime, I have voted for both democrats and republicans. I have voted based not on party but on the character and values representative of the person who is running for office.

At this point in our nation, we are facing a crisis of a magnitude that we have never before experienced, at least in my lifetime. This crisis, to me, is a hostage standoff. A standoff that breaches every law and every value of the people. At this point, the representatives that Americans voted into office are not taking a stand to work together and resolve what is happening in Washington D.C.

I must ask, why is the Senate not paying attention to the manipulative tactics taking place in the White House today. The actions of Trump and Musk are creating a great fear within  all Americans.

Please, if you do nothing else, join together with Congress and take Musk out of our U.S. Treasury. This building and all it contains belongs to the people of the United States of America. We have poured our blood, sweat, and tears into protecting our assets and our future. And we do not want our very livelihood stolen by Musk’s manipulative schemes.

Today, rumors abound that in days to come the only people who will prosper in this country will be the government and those who are rich enough to buy their own freedom. The rest of us will become serfs who wait upon our masters.

Please, even if no other Senators from other states join together with the Congress, please stand up for the people you represent in Texas.

At this moment, Texans are fearful, Texans are afraid of losing our freedoms, losing our rights, and losing our means of sustaining our homes, our family, even our very existence.

Allowing Musk to take over the United States Treasury is an act of treason. One that is unbecoming, unthinkable, and un-American.

Please, work with the Congress, talk with other members of the Senate, and remember, you are elected representatives of the people, for the people, and by the people — not just republicans, but all Texans. You are not there to represent a president who is most assuredly not working for the good of this country.

Please, do not dismiss my prayers for our country. I am putting my hope and faith in the integrity of our elected officials to step up and work for your constituents whether they are democrats or republicans. My prayer is that you work cooperatively for the good of the people in our USA. Please, stand by our United States Constitution, and do not allow Musk to remain as supreme commander of our United States Treasury. Remember, once an election is over, you should not think only as democrats or republicans, rather, elected officials must think as the chosen representatives of all the people in their state, in their country, and, as such, do no harm.
